The 2012 academy will be held June 4 — 7 2012 at a the OUIncubator on the Oakland University campus.
Location: The OU INC office is located in Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion on the campus of Oakland University near Meadow Brook Hall.
Oakland University’s SmartZone Business Incubator (OU INC) provides entrepreneurial resources and strategic business solutions to develop intellectual property. The incubator supports existing and grows new technology-based and life science businesses with university resources, decision support technology, business counseling services and financial/capital acquisition assistance.
The state of Michigan, city of Rochester Hills and Oakland University created a certified technology park (CTP) under the auspices of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) that is part of the Great Lakes Interchange, an Oakland County Automation Alley SmartZone, and includes tax increment financing to support OU INC.
The OU INCubator is also home to the OUClean Energy Research Center.
Our 2011 academy was held in Grand Rapids at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) in the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University. CEI serves to champion and catalyze the vocation of entrepreneurship and is a community asset for entrepreneurial resources.
